Tips For Post Production.

Doing post production is really fun and enjoyable. As an audio engineer we can't deny that it takes a lot of time in order to master the job. So, I would like to share with you some tips in order to make your work go smooth as much as possible.

The first step is the most important in my opinion which is planning. Planning is necessary not only for post production. Get your notebook or your laptop and start write down how you are going to start you session. Are you going to record foley first or maybe start with all the ADR then get back to foley. Its so much better to plan your session so you save a lot of time and money. The second tip is organization. What I mean by organization is to be organized in your session and in the studio as well. Doing post production means recording a plenty of tracks and takes. You need to put markers and colors to make your life easier and know which take you are selecting for your job. Other than that, be organize in the studio. You have to be well prepared and organize, since you will be having artist recording ADR and maybe some foley artist recording foley stuff, a lot of equipment will be used, so you want to make your studio be organized and easy to work with, so you finish the job in a smooth way as much as possible. The third tip I would say, enjoy doing your job. Have fun with it and be flexible with everyone you work with. A lot of artists will be working with you and production companies so you want to keep everything goes with flow and get back to you again for another job.
